Just as you thought Arsenal was gaining some traction, it would appear as though they’re still stuck in the snow with the kitty litter no where to be found.
Reports from The Daily Mail suggest that Mario Gotze, the highly rated German youngster, has decided to stay with Borussia Dortmund until at least 2016.
Says Gotze on his decision to stay with the German club:
Everyone knows how comfortable I feel in Dortmund. The club are far from finished with their recent resurgence. And I want to be part of this development.
As a Manchester United fan, I can’t help but to feel elated by this revelation. The prospect of brining the ageing Lukas Podolski doesn’t strike me as worrisome, but Gotze on the other hand, did.
He’s a 19 years prodigy with limitless potential.
To overhaul Arsenal, which is dearly needed, and start rebuilding with Gotze as a cornerstone to the foundation would have been promising. Alas, Arsene Wenger’s plans for such a movement will have to wait for another day.
