Former Manchester United star and current Real Madrid player, Cristiano Ronaldo, says that he wants to finish his career at Madrid.
“I want to end my career at Real. I’d stay here, I’d sign up today for 10 (more) years and finish my career here. I want to stay, but that’s something that is dependent on other people. I am enjoying the best moment of my life. I’m very stable both psychologically and physically.”
In an interview with Agence France-Presse, the Portuguese sensation went on to say:
“I want to carry on like that and enjoy much more alongside all madridistas, as the truth is that in recent months I have felt an evolution in that sense – a great connection with the fans.”
Portugal, placed in the ‘group of death’ with Holland and Germany at Euro 2012, will pin their hopes squarely on the shoulders of Ronaldo this summer.
Expectations are high, but the pressure doesn’t seem to phase the odds-on-favourite Ballon d’Or winner.
“I am absolutely up for this championship and will be there in fine physical form,” Ronaldo added. “I’m looking forward to getting out there.”
