Beloved Manchester United midfielder, Park Ji-sung, 31, has joined Queens Park Rangers from Manchester United on a two-year deal.
The South Korean international is manager Mark Hughes’ sixth summer signing, joining fellow United team-mate Fabio, as well as Ryan Nelsen, Andy Johnson, Rob Green, and Samba Diakite.
QPR barely managed to stay atop of the Premier League last season, having failed to hold off City in the final game of the season which resulted in United losing the league.
“QPR are a team of the future and that’s why I signed.”
It’s thought that despite the recent additions to the squad, QPR will be in a similar position this season.
Park leaves United after seven years, during which time he made 203 appearances and scored 27 goals, winning four Premier League titles and the Champions League in 2008.
Speaking about his decision to leave Old Trafford, park said: “[QPR's ambition] is why I came here, I know they want to improve. I can’t resist this. There were some other offers but nothing compared to QPR, money’s not important, it’s the future and how we reach the optimum.
Below is a highlight package documenting Park Ji-sung’s seven years as a valuable member of Manchester United:
